I had been to the Locale in Blackheath and found the table service to be excellent and un-fussy, which made the evening all the more pleasant. I'd say it was great value for money, with portions that were presented delicately and with more than enough to eat. I've also used the new private dining room for business training and it worked well all day.

I went to this restaurant Friday 19th Nov, initially I thought it was lovely, the decor was great the cocktails were good.
The food was OK, nothing to shout about, I had the Cannelloni which was served in a way that reminded me of Pizza Hut, bland and boring.
When it came to paying for the meal, I handed my card over to the waiter whom took it away for 5 minutes then came back to tell me that my type of card was not accepted by the restaurant, so therefore I paid by cash.
The next day I discovered that my card had been debited for the amount of the meal, so I called the restaurant once, twice, three times until I got through to someone, who did not offer any apologies or compensation of any kind.
Eventually though they have grudgingly admitted that payment had been taken twice, and I have now been refunded.
