This is my first review on this site and it's a pleasure to submit one for a restaurant of this standard. I called the restaurant to book a table for two on the day of attendance and found the gentleman taking the booking to be polite and helpful. I have an allergy to garlic and asked if they could accommodate this. Upon arrival, I walked in to a wonderfully presented restaurant. Lighting, ambience, room temperature and design were all superb. We were greeted by the matradee who upon taking my name said – ‘ah yes, the gentleman with the garlic allergy. We have prepared a menu for you listing all the items safe for you to eat.’ Fantastic!

We were shown to our table and a prompt drinks order was taken, the waitress was knowledgeable and was polite and happy. The food here was superb. We started with whitebait, oysters and mackerel pate and enjoyed a main of classic fish and chips and a lobster sea food platter - all of which was superb. Our pudding was creme brûlée with a dessert wine and Irish coffee, again this exceeded expectations. My overall experience here was excellent and I will recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover.

The food in this restaurant was not faulty. To start with, I’m very lucky to have experienced the delights that were put in front of me that evening! The chefs did a fantastic job! The service, however, was even better, second to none and I believe that I should thank a certain Lucy - if my memory stands correctly, if not, then it was a waitress who happened to have a degree in physiotherapy. She made the evening extremely pleasant and enjoyable!
