Lock Tavern, The Description

The Lock Tavern is proving to be an extremely popular pub with both drinkers and diners. The pub itself has three areas to choose from consisting of an up and downstairs bar, as well as a roof terrace that is covered in winter and revealed for outdoor drinking during the summer months. The food at the Lock Tavern is the work of young but talented chef Carolyne Smith, who has put together an interesting selection of small taster dishes that she describes as 'Little Bits of Britain'. Such light bites are perfect dishes for sharing with friends and include pan-fried chicken livers with spinach and Stilton, and a memorable vegetable tagine.
