A group of six visited the Log House for an evening meal back in May of this year. After spending the day walking, we were all starving, so most of us had a starter and a main course. The food was fantastic; each of us had something different, steak, fish, pork and vegetarian. You rarely go to a restaurant where they offer two-courses and find that everyone was more than happy. The service was welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was great and we were not hurried through the meal. The only negative point was that it was a little expensive, however every place in the Lake District seems to be so.
