Lucky Bromsgrove in acquiring the Maekong Thai as it is a really happy, comfortable restaurant serving good value Thai food. There is a full menu in the evening with all the normal Thai specialities, though much care is given to their preparation and to ensuring an authentic product.

Especially reasonable eating can be enjoyed at lunchtime with their special offer of two courses for only £6.95; including such delicious options as Tom Yum Gai - traditional Thai hot and sour clear soup with lemongrass, fresh chillies, lime leaves and galangal, with either chicken or mushrooms or pek gai laou dang - stir-fried chicken wings with red wine sauce and cashew nuts to start.

Followed by stir-fried chicken in Thai-style sweet and sour sauce; pad gra-prao - pork, chicken or beef stir-fried with Thai herbs and basil leaves or red Thai curry with coconut milk and chicken with steamed white rice or fried rice.
