Maggie's is a reversal of the usual opening pattern for such establishments, kicking off at 5 am, but closing smartly after lunch, at 3 pm. Early customers are the fishermen, off in pursuit of the café's major commodity, although a nifty line in crab sandwiches is always popular. The restaurant seats 50, is conveniently located above the fish market and is not unknown for providing early morning sustenance to those returning from lively nights out, or sad souls suffering from sleeplessness.Fish & Chip, Seafood

Outstanding fish and chips. I can't wait for our next visit on 4th May 2011. The service and quality of food are always excellent. I haven't found anything that matches Maggie’s. You'll be sorry if you resist this feast.

My husband spent his lifetime on a quest for the best fish and chips ever. He reckoned he'd found it when we first stumbled upon Maggie’s, a few years back. The fish is so fresh it could still be swimming, the batter light and non-greasy great chips, delightful staff, very reasonable prices and a lovely view over the fishing beach. And the quality has never faltered over the years. I'm lucky to live close to this gem but would travel many miles if I had to.
