Mallams Restaurant

5 Trinity Road, The Harbour, Weymouth, DT4 8TJ

Situated in a fantastic position in a Grade 2 listed building on the waterfront of Weymouth's old harbour, this really is a unique restaurant. Not only has it been established since 1990, but it is still owned by the same people and has gone from strength to strength, always keeping up with new ideas but never sacrificing their original goal, which was to offer fresh local produce, simply prepared and to provide good value and great service. The menu features about fifty per cent fish and shellfish and fifty per cent meat, mainly game and poultry with vegetarian options also. Wines are hand picked and as well as some wine list must-haves there are always some unusual offerings. All this plus some interesting cocktails and pre-dinner drinks and you have the perfect recipe for a most enjoyable evening.

Dress code is relaxed, smart casual but don't be afraid to dress up if you want. The atmosphere is friendly and the restaurant always has a great ambience.

REVIEWS OF Mallams Restaurant

Mrs Horsy (19 May 2008)

We visited Mallams Restaurant at the weekend and I must say it’s by far the best meal I’ve had this year. This place is warm and inviting with waiting staff who actually know the menu. The food is superb and at £23.95 for two courses it was excellent value. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are in or visiting Weymouth.

David Wilkinson (26 March 2008)

The harbour side location, interesting menu, competent cooking, efficient service and stylish layout make this a good establishment. However, the staff who I believe were the owners, were discourteous.
