REVIEWS OF Marlow Bar & Grill
Getin (16 February 2009)
I have been to Marlow Bar and Grill several times now, and every time I leave disappointed. I went with my girlfriend on Saturday, we ordered mussels to start, which were very good, for mains, she had pasta, which was wobbly and overcooked, and I had liver and bacon, this came with mash and four onion rings, large liver and one, yes one rasher of bacon. Now call me a moaner, but one rasher of bacon is very tight. It was gone on the fifth mouthful. Yet again, it was very disappointing. The food is also very over priced and we only went there as another chain restaurant was full, and the reason it was full? Because it’s less expensive and the food is always reliably good. Lesson to be learnt here - if your going to serve average food, it should be at average prices. One rasher of bacon with liver and bacon is not on.

We visited on a Saturday night in November and the restaurant was full of atmosphere from joyful diners. The food is simple, but beautifully cooked, the flavours are mouth watering. The members of staff were young, but very attentive and well briefed. We can’t wait to visit again when we are in the area. It’s excellent value for money.
