Martins Arms Inn Description
The Inn is deep in the heart of Stilton cheese country, which has to be in its favour for a start. It is satisfyingly old and derives its name from a former owner of the surrounding estate. Lynne Stafford Brian and Jack Iguanta have been there since 1990 and keep a house that is popular with the locals and copes well with the cheese pilgrims and others who comes to appreciate the Vale of Belvoir.
As an Executive Chef Jack is well placed to produce a menu that takes in big territory. True there are the odd complaints about the cost of enjoying this rural bounty, but resort to the excellent wine list should help to dull your pain, if any. If you are of a mind pay some attention to the excellent range of well-kept beers on offer.

Visited in June under the Telegraph 2 for 1 offer - expensive but worth it I had the best rib eye steak I've ever eaten, my wife had lamb which she also said was delightful.

Beautiful old inn, with a very pleasant dining room. Food well prepared, but service was intrusive and irritating. A little on the pricey side for what it is, and does not compare too favourably with its principal rival Langar Hall.
