As well as being a very popular fish and chip shop in its own right since 1985, the Matheous Fish Bar also has a restaurant out the back. As the shop and the restaurant are only divided by flimsy swing doors you do get the noise of the shop, especially on a busy Friday or Saturday night, but then this is down to earth dining. The menu is the same as you would expect to find on any average fish and chip shop menu, including a good selection of fresh fish such as cod and haddock.
