McQueen
55-61 Tabernacle Street, London, EC2A 4AA
A lounge bar, restaurant and club, McQueen was launched in early 2010 swiftly taking Shoreditch by storm with its distinctive looks and electric atmosphere, and promptly landing the title of Best Bar at the 2010 London Restaurant Awards. Named after the legendary Hollywood superstar Steve McQueen, the 'King of Cool' would surely have approved of the venue's rugged glamour and impressive entertainment line up which includes club nights, burlesque shows and live bands throughout the week. Chef Anupam Som's love for American and Creole flavours is evident on a menu that takes in Maryland crab cake served with saffron and lemon mayonnaise, and Cajun seasoned salmon fillet served with a jambalaya risotto.A lounge bar, restaurant and club, McQueen was launched in early 2010 swiftly taking Shoreditch by storm with its distinctive looks and electric atmosphere, and promptly landing the title of Best Bar at the 2010 London Restaurant Awards. Chef Anupam Som's love for American and Creole flavours is evident on a menu that takes in Maryland crab cake served with saffron and lemon mayonnaise, and Cajun seasoned salmon fillet served with a jambalaya risotto. They also take steaks very seriously offering exquisite cuts such as the rib-eye, sirloin, and a 10oz American USDA prime cut fillet, all served with a choice of béarnaise, peppercorn steak sauce or chipotle ketchup. The tempting dessert options include a slow baked New York cheesecake or a classic pecan pie for a perfect ending to a meal.
