Meat & Wine Co, The Description
'Steaks you'll leave home for' may be their catchphrase but you really don't have to venture too far because they're everywhere - Australia, Middle East, UK, South Africa, Mozambique and Israel. The striking décor of sleek lights and shimmering reds with a towering display of wines speaks of its African roots. The bar area designed in the shape of an African spear is for those who'd like to catch up with friends over a cocktail.
Food-wise, expect to find starters of salt and pepper calamari, barbecue chicken wings, peri-peri prawns and boerewors, a traditional African beef sausage. For mains, try the lamb platter, flame-grilled and served with a ratatouille jus, slow cooked pork ribs and kangaroo fillet marinated in their unique basting and served with a potato gratin and red currant jus. Their specialty rib-eye, T-bone, sirloin, rump and fillet steaks are matured to perfection and grilled to order.
To conclude, there's a seasonal chef's tasting platter of desserts.

Just want to say a big thank you to everyone in The Meat and Wine Co. They made my evening and my birthday a night, which I will always remember. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and unpretentious greeting I received from the hostess – I just knew I was going to have a good night. As I walked up the stairs I was blown away by the décor as well as the impeccable service. My waiter was so attentive and charming I think he came from Albania. His product knowledge was exceptional as he recommended a wine which was the perfect accompaniment to my main course. The icing on the cake was the sparklers and the heartfelt Happy Birthday which was sung to me even remembering my name by most of the team. The pièce de résistance were the two very good looking guys in striped shirts who seemed to orchestrate the whole event. I will definitely be back again very soon, in the mean time will tell all my friends about this fantastic place.

I took my mother, and aunt who travelled up from Sussex for the day too shop till they dropped and we decided to have dinner at The Meat and Wine Co. Westfield, the restaurant is amazing, with decor like this you would think that you weren’t in grubby London.
The service was just so friendly and personal, and as for the steak was so tender and tasteful, especially for a rump steak. The dessert choice we opted for was recommended by the waiter what a wonderful choice we did make, mouth-watering and complimenting the talented chef, as the home made fudge was too die for.
Well done Meat and Wine!!! You managed to impress and we will definitely be back!!!
