Mediterraneo certainly looks like an ideal venue for indulging in some rustic Italian cooking and with a picture postcard-like façade, walls adorned with artefacts and restrained lighting, the setting is well-suited to settle down for a serious Italian feast.

Dishes that waken the appetite include octopus salad with potatoes and cherry tomatoes, deep-fried squid served with spicy sauce, and Buffalo mozzarella with Parma ham. Then you could probably give your palate a breather with a pasta course of flat spaghetti with royal clams, garlic and olive oil, and ricotta and spinach stuffed tortellini with tomato and basil sauce. Meaty main courses include veal Milanese style, char-grilled fillet of beef and rolled breast of chicken filled with ham, mozzarella and spinach, served with roast potatoes. With a meal as robust as this the possibility to preclude a dessert remains high, but with hazelnut parfait, tiramisu, and crème brûlée heading the list, it might not be too hard to resist the thought.
