Medusa is a contemporary, independently owned bar/restaurant which provides an intriguingly different experience for drinking and dining out in Hertfordshire; their aim is to combine fresh, high quality Mediterranean cuisine with a separate glamorous bar area in a brand new, funky venue, plus ensuring customers are provided with a friendly and affordable service.

It boasts a contemporary décor, with porcelain floor and wall tiles exclusively by Versace, muted colours, water features, granite tables, leather chairs, state of the art lighting and candlelight tables; this successfully create a warm, Mediterranean haven. This relaxed, romantic and trendy feel generally appeals to all. Birthday, business lunch, Christmas party, night out with friends... Medusa can happily accommodate sizeable groups whilst ensuring that couples are looked after too.

The bar area is large and with its tables and leather tub chairs it's a great place to chill out for the evening or enjoy a coffee in during the day! It boasts a fashionable wine list, luxury cocktails and an impressive spirit collection.

The menu consists of Mediterranean dishes from countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain and even Morocco! The food is all fresh and made on the premises; while premium ingredients from different countries are imported to ensure that the dishes are authentic.

The extensive menu includes delights such as Greek keftedes and calamari, Italian bruschetta, Spanish tortillas and a selection of different mezes for sharing. Then follow on with swordfish or Moroccan tuna, Greek moussaka or the popular homemade Medusa hamburger cooked on the char-grill, and finally round off with timeless favourites from the dessert menu such as tiramisu which is freshly made on the premises each day and sticky toffee pudding.

Vegetarians are also well looked after with tasty choices such as courgette patties followed by mushroom stroganoff and vegetable moussaka. Families are welcomed too - highchairs are available and children under 10 can select any dish for half the price! Service is fast and friendly. The drinks list is extensive - work your way through an array of creative cocktails and shooters and a great selection of wines from different countries including Greek wines with guest wines, changing monthly.
