Metro Brasserie & Cafe Bar Description
The long outdated dictionary definition of a brasserie (a restaurant serving drinks and cheap meals) mingles with that of a restaurant (much more polite) to produce Metro and, let it be said, others like it. Both classic and contemporary dishes are faultlessly served in a cool and dignified location, mercifully bereft of the sort of impedimenta that over-clutters some restaurants, leaving guests to truly chill out and properly savour company and food.
Currently they are offering a fixed price three course menu for £17, with a substantial discount for early evening two course dining. House wines start at £11.50 with a number by the glass, though many will find the well-chosen list offers exceptionally good value at under £20.

We stayed in the hotel of which this is part and ate here the first night. The food was well cooked and nicely presented and I would say this was a 7 out of 10 place. But the hotel was modern and clean and in a great location but slightly overpriced.
