Mews Bistro, The Description
Another temple to the great god Fish. Local sea bass, Tenby plaice and Teifi salmon all make regular appearances and the lobsters round here are renowned for their flavour. There are concessions to those who must enjoy something a little less piscatorial, such as haunch of Welsh lamb with red pepper ragout. Don't call expecting lunch.

What a shame - we have eaten there a year ago, went again last night and what a difference! The first time it was great but it was extremely average the second time. My sea bass was salty and my son's pasta with meatballs was so sweet, it should have probably been served up for pudding. The starters were nice though. From the reviews, this place varies from night to night but I would steer clear. The prices are high - £2.95 for each serving of bread with your meal? This may be the best restaurant in Tenby, but that doesn't say much for the others.

I'm stunned at the negatives reviews about this Bistro. I celebrated my birthday there with about 20 of us 7 years ago and the reason why I chose it was because I had been there a few times before and each time the food had been spectacular and again it was great on my birthday. Each time I've been there, it has been great and I know good food when I taste it let me tell you - I'm a bad critic if I get a horrible meal - I haven't had a single dish from this Bistro that has been a disappointment and so what if you have to wait a bit for it - that probably means it's cooked fresh. The Bistro's food is well worth the wait! It gets my vote as best restaurant in Tenby.
