Mews of Mayfair Description
Two traditional Mews buildings have been converted into a handsome and very appealing four-storeyed restaurant and bar complex.
A fresh look dominates the simple and understated restaurant decor, with clean lines of cream, beige and white. A hint of delicate femininity comes through from the little butterflies on the walls, and the warm candle glow creates a soothing atmosphere.
The chef's private dining room on the fourth floor is very impressive and offers more privacy with large maps of the empire covering the walls, a beautiful chandelier, and character-boosting beams.
The menu is as indulgent as the decor, with an expansive list of delicious choices for varying palates. Starters range from mussels ragout, mustard, and crème fraîche, and handmade tagliatelle, to braised pig cheek with crispy shallots, and freshly shucked Maldon Rock oysters. Hearty and satisfying mains could include a risotto of cauliflower and Dobiacco cheese; pan-fried cod, crispy calamari and frog legs, and roast saddle of lamb.
A star-studded wine list offers endless pleasure and for those intending to stay awhile they have one of the most attractive lists of digestifs in London.

Your Reviews of Mews of Mayfair

I had a great meal at this little place, the service was great and the food was excellent. We had been there for an anniversary dinner and the waiter really pulled out all the stops. I felt like a King in his Castle and ended up staying till closing time. I will definitely start having my business lunches too there.
Natalie Jonts (1 August 2007)
I went to Mews of Mayfair as a birthday treat for a girlfriend and had a wonderful time. The waitress Lizzie was fantastic and in spite of my not having booked they managed to squeeze us in and even conjured up a birthday plate for my friend. The place looked like a palace but felt like home, it was pretty user friendly given its opulence. The food was awesome too. I think they'd just changed the menu as the chef sent out an extra dish just for us to sample. I would definitely go back.
