Mirch Masala - Tooting

'You wish it - we cook it', is the dangerous challenge that they issue to their customers, but Mirch Masala is always busy offering cheap no frills Indian cuisine to a largely Asian audience; this is their second outlet in South London. Here the décor is basic and the service can be somewhat erratic but all is forgiven when the food arrives, as it's both well spiced and interesting. Favourite dishes here include masala lamb chops, tandoori or butter chicken wings and a selection of karahi dishes such as an excellent karahi fish and karahi corn chicken. Good choice for vegetarians and excellent take away service. Unlicensed, so bring your own wine if you want to, or drink lassi or mango shake, no credit cards and no bookings.
