Mishmash

Described as offering "fun with sophistication" Mish Mash is a cross between the lounge bar of far-off years and a more contemporary and chic approach, so perhaps mish mash is chosen with care. The basic ingredients are a chilled atmosphere during the week and a party atmosphere at weekends, some pretty imaginative cocktails and plates of attractive and tasty nibbles from Rosie's deli in Brixton.

For firing up the party there is the usual range of cocktail rockets, plus some - a Shamrock express, or perhaps the Applesinth, a sinister brew of absinthe, apple schnapps, apple juice, fresh lime juice and passion fruit syrup. The dips and nibbles really are some of Brixton's finest at the hands of Rosie Stephens, with sharing platters of Capolloo wild boar salami for £10, and a cheese platter including Morbier, organic Daylesford chevre log and buffalo mozzarella for just £12.

This is a fun place for winding down at any time but comes into its own particularly at weekends.
