Moro Restaurant Description
Moro is a wonderful mixture of Spanish inspired cuisine meeting North African, with a splash of Portugal thrown in for good measure. Inspired by Sam Clark and his wife, also Sam (Samantha), Moro is a basic looking place with wonderful food; the restaurant is often booked up well in advance so they must be doing something right. Perhaps it's the recent addition of a tapas menu or maybe it's the distinctive flavour that you get from having a wood-fired oven. Whatever it is be sure to try one of the soup starters - like chilled white garlic or gazpacho - and finish with the Seville orange ice cream.

Wonderful. We were lucky enough to get a table on Saturday and I can't fault it. Service was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Food was fresh, well presented, amply portioned and perfectly seasoned. My main course, sea bass was possibly the best I've ever had. Having read other recommendations, I chose the raisin ice cream for dessert and wasn't disappointed. It’s excellent value at approx £35 per head, inclusive of wine. I couldn't wait to go again - only wish it was closer!

Do not be deterred by the house full note, as a seat at the bar is well worth the opportunity to enjoy the many fine meals - try the white anchovies, the wood fired bread, best of all, place yourself in the hands of the fabulous staff who will advise you on food and grog. A great evening so much so a quick return before departing back to Australia was essential.
