Morston Hall Restaurant
Morston Hall, Morston, Holt, NR25 7AA
Illuminating the different facets of its perfection with ease, Morston Hall, located on the coast, just two miles west of Blakeney, brings comfortable and luxurious accommodation and an award winning restaurant that is pure manna for the soul. This highly acclaimed 17th century country house has a number of delightful options for sightseeing in the surrounding areas but chances are that guests would find lingering, relaxing or enjoying a good meal at the hotel just as rejuvenating. With three red rosettes and a Michelin award, it is apparent that food is taken very seriously at the Morston Hall, and dishes such as grilled fillet of sea bass and confit leg of Gressingham duck on sautéed Lyonnaise potatoes with seasonal vegetables and thyme infused jus feature on the menu.Illuminating the different facets of its perfection with ease, Morston Hall, located on the coast, just two miles west of Blakeney, brings comfortable and luxurious accommodation and an award winning restaurant that is pure manna for the soul. REVIEWS OF Morston Hall Restaurant

There are many good Restaurants along the Norfolk coast but only two Michelin starred, including Morston Hall. We arrived at 7:30 as requested and were seated in a pleasant foyer. By 8 PM we had our chosen aperitif and were browsing the delightful sounding fixed menu. Fairly soon, a very small, but tasty, canapé was served and a little later still we moved to the dining area, where we had a good view of the conservatory, with its boisterous wedding party. A waitress served us home made bread rolls, which were delicious and soon devoured! A little later the very busy waitress served an attractive first course that went down very well, and very quickly. Several of us fancied another bread roll but it was difficult to attract the waitress’s attention.
One of the talking points about the food was the ‘baby carrots’. A tribute to the supplier and the vegetable chef, they must have been difficult to handle successfully, being the size of a little finger nail. But the highlight of the meal for most of us was the cheese option - surprisingly generous. We got five pieces of quality cheese artfully presented on a wooden platter with celery and relish. By the time the final biscuit and the 2nd roll that had at last arrived were consumed, we all had to admit that we were reasonably full. A typical coffee or tea, in one case saw us complete our experience. A member of staff brought our coats and we left the much-praised Morston Hall to taxi back to Wells.

This is the best I've been to in Norfolk - a high class eating experience - one sitting and a set course, there is no choice. The surroundings are beautiful, the food is fine and service is excellent. It’s not cheap, but not bad value for its type.
