The main course could include your standard curry choice or you could consider going with king prawn and monkfish with ginger and dill, haddock with Puy lentils and lemon, baked halibut with chickpeas and fennel, poached chicken with mixed spiced vegetables or cottage cheese with mushroom, shallots and tomato. For an early evening meal sample such dishes as chicken pakora, aubergine fritters, lamb in a rich garlic and mushroom sauce and chicken cooked in a creamy sauce.
Desserts of traditional kulfi ice cream and syrupy sweet gulab jamun promise a sweet ending to the meal. A well selected takeaway menu offers patrons the convenience of eating in the comfort of their home or office.

REVIEWS OF Mother India
Val West (24 March 2011)
I visited the Mother India on Saturday in March 2011 and once more was delighted with the service, food, and atmosphere. I have been eating Indian food since I was fifteen years of age and let me tell you that was not yesterday. My advice is to try this fabulous venue and you will probably not go any where else again. Superb and I can't wait to return on the 3rd April. I know my family and I will not be disappointed. Best eaterie ever.
David Lindsay (27 February 2010)
I went to Mother India for the first time. It is highly recommended. It has friendly staff and I was amazed at how quick the starter arrived. It came to approximately £20-£25 per head for a share of starters and a main. I got the garlic and chilli chicken wow! I do recommend you don’t get stuck in too fast, there’s a monstrous plateful to get through! And of course there is the famous Kingfisher lager of which I went through 3 pints during dinner.
