Mr Man's Restaurant

I have dined at Mr Man's Restaurant many times over the years and found it to be a great venue for all types of social functions. The food has always been excellent with fair portions, especially while catering for large parties. The members of staff were extremely professional, friendly and always courteous and helpful. They probably have one of the best dining atmospheres around. However, last night the parents from our local football team had our annual social bash there. A huge disappointment! From the onset I did not find the staff helpful in anyway especially when trying to organise the tables and menus - it was for 21 people! On the night itself the food portions were poor, a dish was changed on one table and all other tables’ dishes were changed as well with no communication from the staff to inform us of this. Our waitress often seemed cross with our requests. We were overcharged on the bill by a considerable amount; all our drinks were paid for as we ordered. They then appeared on the bill and this seemed to annoy them when we asked. The bill, excluding drinks, came to £398.50 but I’m sure if you have dined there you would have been offered a complimentary drink but this was flatly refused. A freshen up of staff and new ideas is needed I’m afraid. That personal touch and small gesture is going - the reason we all go back there.

My boyfriend and I went to Mr Man's Restaurant on our first date and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere was fantastic.
