Mr Singh's India

149 Elderslie Street, Glasgow, G3 7JR

A popular Glasgow venue with Indian in mind when reliability and diversity are high on the agenda. Mr Singh's is also miles apart from the more traditional style of Indian décor to which we have grown accustomed over the past few decades, sometimes to the point of mild boredom. If you have never seen an Indian waiter wearing the kilt before, this is the place for you and, as survivors from an association with the Indian Army will recall, they wear it well. Even the wide ranging menu has a touch of Scotland with haggis pakoras available, but in a country where deep fried Mars Bars are de rigeur the haggis could almost be flattered by such treatment. Otherwise it's the usual attractive spread of Indian dishes with some interesting additions of which lamb Mazadar is but one.

This by the way is a fiery dish made more so by the addition of a shot of Remy Martin - now that is sacrilegious. This is a fun place to eat, good and handy with a lively atmosphere that helps make a great evening.

REVIEWS OF Mr Singh's India

Jennifer baker (24 August 2011)

Myself and 3 other fun ladies, Jacqueline (sister), Kathy and Donna (like sisters) came from the states of Indiana, Alabama and Tennessee to tour Scotland with our first stop in Glasgow. We wanted Indian food and the tour bus driver highly recommended Mister Singhs and SO GLAD he did. The best Indian food and the staff....out of this world. Master Mark Singh insisted on sitting with us after dinner and complimented us all with a glass of wine. Can't say enough about the hospitality! :-)

Dave (11 December 2010)

We went for a meal on Friday in December. I had not been for a while, but I was greeted like a long, lost friend. The staff were fantastic and the meal was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back
