Muskaan Indian Cuisine

3-5 Corporation Street, Rotherham, S60 1NP

Muskaan may have certainly brought a smile to the faces of Rotherham's residents, akin to its name, the reason being their dedication to providing scrumptious meat curries prepared the Bangladeshi way. For those not familiar with this genre of cooking, here's a piece of insider information - delicate spicing and the generous use of chillies brings out that distinctive taste in their dishes. Nothing explains this better than their house specialty of chicken or lamb tikka exotic prepared in a mild delicate sauce made from double cream with pineapple and mango lychees, ideal for delicate palates. This before sampling a starter of, perhaps, battered mushrooms and patti shapta or spicy chicken rolls.

Then we have the usual vindaloos, bhunas, dansaks and korma curries and an interesting list of breads and sundries to accompany.

Notable among the seafood dishes are the begun fishwala, fillet of cod cooked in a fairly hot spicy sauce and finely chopped aubergine, and the tandoori king prawn fry.

REVIEWS OF Muskaan Indian Cuisine

Michael (25 February 2011)

My partner and I are from one of the best restaurant cities in the world - Toronto. Our dinner at Muskaan was superb and of extremely high quality. The ingredients are very fresh and beautifully cooked. This restaurant would stand anywhere and is the best of its kind we have ever visited. Some places in London, for example, do not even come close and cost twice as much. I cannot recommend eating at Muskaan enough!

Steve C (17 February 2011)

I have visited this restaurant many times, for both sit down and takeaway and I cannot find another place that comes close. The food is excellent, the service is just as good and the prices, very acceptable. As I come from Bradford originally, I have had a few curries in my time, and this place ranks high on my list.
