Veering not too far from home, this smart, family run restaurant is very particular about using locally sourced, sustainable produce for their very British cuisine. The décor is simple with shades of green and dark wood creating a very distinctive leitmotif, and their seasonal menus offer a range of ever changing delights for customers.

Starters could include Hampshire ham hock terrine, homemade brioche, red onion marmalade and green herb dressing followed by seven hours slow cooked Somerset mutton with cabbage, bacon and smooth celeriac mash.
