When I was still working in London, I used Navarro's frequently and was never disappointed. In fact, I had my 'leaving do' lunch there for about thirty colleagues which was a great success and for which the staff were superb - nothing was too much trouble! Considering this was a team of mature foodies and wine imbibers who managed to 'go through the card' is recommendation in itself. I recommended it to my brother-in-law who is now a regular visitor when he is in London: we are both provincials. No doubt there are better tapas and Spanish restaurants but this one is very good value and hard to beat!

I've just got back from Navarro's and despite the food being OK, the service was absolutely terrible and actually quite offensive. The manager is absolutely terrible - he was very rude to us when there was confusion over our ordering of a set menu, and then refused to talk to us about the problem. The whole thing needs a big rethink - I would go to Salt Yard on Goodge Street instead or Fino just around the corner - a much better experience all around.
