We were flying out to Spain on a day in October and it was my wife's birthday before we went out so we took ten of our friends and family for a meal and the service was great and so was were the food and wine, we all had a great time and I would like to thank the staff for looking after us that night as it really made a great start to our holiday. It's what we call a honey pot place and every one comes to it. Thank you again.

Having previously noticed this restaurant - public house, we decided to give it a try on a Saturday in September 2009. It was late afternoon and very few people were inside so we were able to find a nice quiet table which was comfortable with its leather soft seats and some good varied music coming from the speaker facing us. We were impressed by the straightforward menu but were puzzled by the meat and potato pie on the specials board costing more than the steak pie on the regular menu. I had the gammon with freshly cut pineapple which was done to my liking with thick cut chips, and my wife chose the cheese and onion pie which she enjoyed very much. We both had the garden peas which were really fresh and tasty with generous portions. I had a glass of the hand pulled house bitter and my wife had the Pinot Grigio white wine and we both enjoyed them. We are thinking of using this venue again for a night out with friends as we were so impressed with the service, décor, ambience and the quality of the food and drinks.
