Nettlebed Restaurant Description

Chef/proprietor, Chris Barber spent 11 years as personal chef to HRH The Prince of Wales, he has also undertaken stages in France and Italy and has worked with some of Britain's finest chefs. He is the former owner of The Goose at Britwell Salome, which achieved great success as one of Britain's most highly rated pub restaurants. Set in an area of outstanding beauty, The Chilterns, the place offers a choice of two separate restaurants.

The White Hart smacks of confidence and style from the moment you first glimpse its historic exterior to a closer intimacy with its cool and graceful interiors. The Nettlebed Restaurant serves the finest local, wild and organic ingredients which are carefully sourced to create a refined yet uncomplicated cuisine. It also has its own private saloon for drinks. The Nettlebed can be booked for private parties. A wine list of great interest starts at £14 before it sets off to travel the world in distinguished company.

Apart from The Nettlebed Restaurant, they also have The White Hart Bistro, aimed at the reasonably priced, more casual trade, serving Chris Barber's adaptation of classic pub cooking at affordable prices in a relaxed setting. The stylishly designed bar is the ideal place for a pint of local Brakspear bitter or one of the carefully selected wines and spirits:
