New Emperor Description

This large restaurant in Manchester's ChinaTown (250 covers) continues to maintain high standards and therefore pulls in the crowds. Whereas in some places this can contribute to a dysfunctional and distractive evening, here it seems merely to underline the quality and range of what is on offer. The cuisine is essentially Cantonese but allowances are made for excursions to Peking and Shanghai. Particularly popular is their variety of duck dishes. House wines start from £9.90, with glasses at £2.20.
