Nichols Restaurant Description

Nichols offers a wide-ranging menu, for instance their starters include a simple homemade soup or, if you are feeling more adventurous, home-cured salmon with quails eggs and watercress salad drizzled with sesame seed dressing.

Main courses might offer a fillet steak served with pan burst vine tomatoes, portabella mushrooms, baked banana, shallots, watercress and chipped potatoes or pan fried calves' liver with Wiltshire bacon, crisp potato sticks, tempranillo red wine jus and a West Country oakwood smoked cheddar sauce.

From the wide variety of desserts you could choose the plum and blueberry crumble tart with clotted cream, or for something simpler and more straighforward, a fresh fruit salad or a platter of English cheeses.

I must say that Nichols served me one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, the attention to detail from the staff almost went beyond the call of duty and the atmosphere was great! I can't wait to go back and sample some more dishes from the superb menu.
