Owners Chris and Nina Psarros of Nina's Ristorante established their venue in the ever-growing Raleigh area in September, 1999. The restaurant is elegant and expansive with vibrant flowers, paintings and handcrafted sculptures arranged throughout the terracotta walls, which are lit by beautiful brass chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. An arbor mural that depicts the countryside of Tuscany along the back wall and a handcrafted mahogany wine rack brimming with Italy's finest selections are two features that occupy the pride of place in the interior.

The menu is traditional Sicilian and you can choose shrimp sautéed in garlic white wine and mussels in beer and herbs if you prefer seafood. Those who fancy meat dishes can order tubular pasta and grilled chicken in a creamy pink vodka sauce and veal scallopine served with mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce. Salads and vegetarian options are also at hand ensuring each guest's requirements are taken care of.
