No. Sixteen

16 Byres Road, Glasgow, G11 5JY

An establishment competing well with the variety of choice available in Glasgow, and specialising in well-cooked dishes drawn from a daily changing menu. Most are well recognisable and sound offerings with wide appeal. One of the benefits of eating in Scotland is that you can convince yourself of the desirability of indulgent dishes as defence against the cold. On that basis go for the rich, dark chocolate pudding, dressed with chocolate and walk the extra mile next day.

REVIEWS OF No. Sixteen

Sean Fallon (30 October 2005)

A fantastic atmosphere, matched by equally fantastic food and top class service. Delightful.

Gordon Yuill (10 May 2003)

Breathtaking!! An absolute treat from my friendly welcome to my friendly departure!

The menu was colourful, rich and diverse. I was informed that the head chef Mr. Stephen Murray was cooking for me along with his up and coming protégé, Mr. Noel Nugent. Both made my meal to absolute perfection from my beautifully presented, tasty fishcake, through my mouth-wateringly pink venison and finishing with the best lemon tart I have come across in all my days!!

This is one of Glasgow's finest! An absolute MUST!
