Noa Restaurant Description

Noa Restaurant marks another step forward in Bristol's quest to bring world flavours to local diners and what better place to do it than at this beautiful shopping quarter called Clifton Village. The interior is refined in its appeal with attractive screens, fabrics and shipskin lamps.

The kitchen's fascination with flavours and innovative techniques shows up in dishes such as butter-soft beef tataki with miso and jalapeño, but sushi and sashimi are real winners here. Nobu-style dishes are real value for money and seafood delicacies embrace choices like octopus, red bream, sea bass and eel. If you'd prefer to take the safe route, select from a range of cooked fish like salmon teriyaki or sea-salted grilled mackerel. A mint milk pannacotta or yuzu sorbet for dessert is another expression of ambitious cooking at Noa.

Noa is a gem of gems, a genuine Japanese restaurant. The food is a delight to the palate. With Japanese cuisine, super fresh fish and vegetables, all seasonal, are de rigueur, and Noa is absolutely true to form. From the delicately shiso flavoured pickles and the nigiri sushi, to the refreshing green tea ice cream with fresh summer berries, all dishes fairly zip with fresh simplicity and elegance. Traditional flavours meld with Pacific fusion, so alongside your miso and rice, you can savour the flavour of tuna harumaki with an artful drizzle of specially prepared chilli mayonnaise. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and easy going. Noa opened only this month and already the place is getting packed out, so book yourself a table soon, get in there and enjoy.
