The Noodle in Wilmette has a distinctively European feel to it, maybe because of the striped awnings outside where there is an al fresco area for dining or simply because of the menu, which serves pastas in all its radiant forms. Weekly specials on the chalkboard give enough indication of the chef's capabilities although you could test that on any day with their regular fare too.

To start with, there's grilled chicken satay with a trio of sauces which could be followed up by your choice in pastas which vary according to cut - angel hair, linguine and fettucine, flavors - white, spinach and whole wheat parsley and finally, the sauces.
