Northbank
One Paul's Walk, London, EC4V 3QH
Northbank in One Paul's Walk is a chic contemporary restaurant showcasing a quintessentially modern British menu with a Cornish influence. Head chef Peter Woods is particular about using fresh seasonally available and traceable ingredients. A spectacular Thames vista with the Millennium Bridge and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in sight gives the evening its glitter. From the à la carte menu enjoy baked mackerel fillet wrapped in Serrano ham, Falmouth crab and clotted cream tart with asparagus salad or 'Devon Red' beef carpaccio with truffled oil. For the main course, either spiced, braised Suffolk pork belly with razor clams and red wine sauce or crispy confit duck and Toulouse sausage with white bean and parsley stew might take your fancy.Northbank in One Paul's Walk is a chic contemporary restaurant showcasing a quintessentially modern British menu with a Cornish influence. A dish like roasted halibut with oxtail tortellini and pearl barley could satisfy the appetite too. Treating yourself to warm fig tatin with white chocolate ice cream or blackberry and vanilla cheesecake brings the meal to a fitting end. The comfort of a good drink is offered by New York style cocktails, Cornish Ales, West Country ciders and classic mead alongside the house champagne, Jacquart.

REVIEWS OF Northbank
Robert (31 December 2008)
I made a reservation for 2nd January some two weeks in advance, 48 hours before they called to say that they were now not opening after all. No problem if I had been told originally that they were not open but to be landed with it that late is very poor, they were clearly hedging their bets on reservations. Needless to say I will not be troubling them again.
