Number 27 was a brilliant restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. We were in Inverness only a couple of nights, and couldn't decide where to dine. There were a number of other restaurants around, which had good recommendations but we had wandered past 27 earlier in the day and thought we'd give it a go. Friendly and efficient staff, even though the place was pretty busy when we arrived, good sized menu, not too big, but plenty of choice, and a really well-run kitchen. My partner had the chicken wrapped in Parma ham which had a lovely sauce on it, and I had one of the many interesting vegetarian options on the menu, mine was actually from the chef's special list, so it might not always be on their menu. My dish was a mushroom and cashew nut stroganoff - delicious! We definitely recommend this restaurant and would certainly go back if we are ever in Inverness again.
