Oak, The Description
Another fairly new gastro-pub, on the edge of the now trendy Notting Hill area, but retaining the original busy drinking area on the ground floor, with a good quality restaurant above it. It is a tribute to simplicity, as they have allowed the space to work for itself, rather impose upon it, though two grand chandeliers are a feature. Food is interesting, familiar Modern European with excellent British ingredients, like Old Spot belly of pork or Longhorn beef - good value for money. Desserts are a high spot, and highly recommended, leave room for them.

I had eaten at the Oak on, we had a big party of ten and ate on the same floor as the bar in a beautiful room, which had doors open to see what was going on in the bar and also large windows making you feel you were eating alfresco. Food was amazing, we had set meal for £35 per head and the food was cooked to perfection, would definitely return.
