Ognisko Restaurant is pure glamour, from the ornate chandeliers to the numerous pillars and pastel décor. In fact from the outside it gives the impression of a rather exclusive club, but once inside you'll be treated to excellent service and some fine French, Italian and Polish cuisine.

First to emerge may be hearty bowlfuls of French onion soup with gruyère or beetroot soup with kolduny, followed by main courses that evoke sighs of content. So expect to find noisette of lamb with tomato and fresh tarragon sauce; grilled pork fillets on a bed of roast vegetables, and corn-fed guinea fowl with apples and calvados served with red cabbage. Crème brûlée with Grand Marnier is an impressive combination or for something more familiar choose pancakes with sweet cheese in orange sauce.
