The Old Thatched Inn dates back to 1702 and offers its customers a relaxed and comfortable environment; they have created a pleasantly informal dining experience for people who like to meet, talk, eat, and drink within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
They do not take bookings as they believe in casual dining, but enjoy excellent standards as they only use fresh ingredients mainly from local suppliers with an extensive fish selection. You could relax with friends and enjoy a glass of wine from their well chosen wine list or instead opt for one of their fine ales.

Have eaten here regularly and have had consistently good food and service. The food is bistro pub in style, well cooked and attractively presented. Staff are polite and helpful. Good value for money.

I was there yesterday and found the food overpriced and very poor. I had what was listed as an avocado, baby spinach leaves and Palma ham sandwich. It was a chiabatta roll, not a sandwich, had no mayonnaise or butter on the bread and the meanest of fillings. The spinach leaves were tough, the Parma ham hardly visible and the avocado was unripe. The kettle chips were nice but the so called 'salad' was just a handful of leaves, no cucumber, tomato, etc. Dressing was nice. At £6.25 this was NOT value for money. Not a place for a pub snack!
