Old Tramshed, The Description
Good food and music are the driving factors behind this lively, popular bar and brasserie that opened in 2003. Close to the World heritage site Salts Mill and the Leeds-Liverpool canal, it offers a Mediterranean influenced menu and a good choice of special deals.
It regularly draws in crowds with a roster of live bands on Monday nights and jazz, rhythm and blues music every Thursday evening. They spice up the locality further by allowing only singles for Sunday dinner and drinks.
A typical meal there can start with a trio of smoked fish with horseradish crème fraîche, followed by breast of free-range chicken stuffed with smoked ham and gruyere, topped with straw potato, or fillet of local beef on celeriac puree with wild mushrooms, red wine and veal and end with blackcurrant cheesecake with passion fruit sorbet.

I recently visited the venue on one of their live entertainment nights. Really nice environment, good music and most importantly a good selection of beers. I'll be back for some food, as it smelt fantastic. I did like the conversion, it's a very open plan with the restaurant on two floors and a central bar - worth the drive.

I would just like to say that we got married on New Year's Eve in The Old Tramshed and it was fantastic. We had the wedding breakfast and evening reception in the tram shed and they catered for every need including gluten free and vegetarian food and all of our guests commented on the high quality and standard of the food. They were also very keen to make sure that our every need and requirement was met and exceeded all of our expectations. I would recommend The Old Tramshed to anyone!
