Old Vicarage Restaurant, The Description

Sheffield's only Michelin Starred Restaurant, where you can be sure of outstanding food and a warm Yorkshire welcome; The Old Vicarage is a delightful old Country House offering a comfortable and homely atmosphere, with gastronomy and service of the highest standard.

Ideally placed for visitors to the region, this exceptional restaurant is set in a relaxing rural location yet is only 5 minutes from Sheffield Ring Road. A quick cab ride out from the City Centre, and just 10 minutes from M1 junctions 33 or 29, this now famous landmark restaurant is a must-see for the discerning traveller.

Set in acres of gardens, the house commands stunning views over open countryside; its gently-rolling lawns and copses blending with the surrounding countryside of the Moss Valley conservation area.  Inside the house you will be cosseted in a calming ambience of fine fabrics, Persian carpets, original paintings and, in the winter time, a blazing log fire.

Whether you visit for business entertaining or private dining, the focus of the experience at The Old Vicarage is the remarkable and innovative cooking by Chef Tessa Bramley. One of the handful of UK restaurateurs to hold a coveted Michelin Star, Tessa is a Fellow of The Master Chefs of Great Britain and a widely published author with expertise in regional and country cooking. The Old Vicarage menu is grounded in nature and evocative of the seasons - Tessa's work revolves around the Vicarage kitchen garden and the produce from the local farms and smallholders in the neighbouring villages.

There is a multiple award-winning wine list, representing the best quality and value across a wide price range, from the modest to the iconic. As well as classics from top estates in Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, Spain and Italy, the list also features some of the best examples of progressive winemaking from boutique wineries in The Americas and the Southern Hemisphere. A visit to The Old Vicarage is an unforgettable experience, for all the right reasons.
