Olive Shed, The Description

The Olive Shed Restaurant is a beautiful little Seafood/Vegetarian restaurant, quite off the beaten track, situated on the waterfront of Bristol's Harbourside with wonderful views over the river.

It really is rather 'one of a kind' as there's nowhere quite like it, serving good food in such a relaxed manner.

It has an extensive vegetarian and seafood tapas (snack) menu which they try to run all day every day, it also has a 12 - 3 pm lunch menu, a 7 - 10 pm dinner menu and specials boards; though it is worth noting that the place is actually open from 10 in the morning until midnight.

All the wines at the restaurant are Organic, some of which are imported specially by the restaurant from France. You can tell this is a place where the people who work there really care.

Your Reviews of Olive Shed, The

Helene (1 October 2007)

It was a very warm summer’s eve, and we managed to get a table outside. There was plenty of choice of authentic and delicious tapas. For the main course, we chose the salmon with fresh vegetables from the specials’ board. At around £13, it was excellent. The wine list was impressive, and the Spanish white we had was chilled and priced right. In addition, the bonus was that the staff were friendly, forthright and of course, efficient. I have recommended it to special friends as a find worth coveting.

J Bainton (4 July 2007)

It’s a stone's throw from the water's edge, and this dockside restaurant is one of my Bristol favourites. Whether you are looking for a three course delicious Mediteranean meal, or just want to share a few tapas dishes with a friend, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is good. Panoramic vistas over the docks enhance the experience whether you are eating lunch in the sunshine or watching nightlife on the water. And you can park easily within fiftty yards.

When one of the country's most respected and leading critics says that a restaurant in this group is 'the best Italian Restaurant outside London' it is time to take them seriously. Britain's love ...
