One-Ten Old Street Description
It's difficult to define the décor at One-Ten Old Street, as such an eclectic mix of styles has been used, but some how it just works. A stained glass window and much of the furniture give it a religious edge, but trendy and full of personality is the overriding effect. There's a basement bar if you're just looking for a few drinks, but the menu holds plenty of interest to make dining a worthwhile experience here. Starters include asparagus in breadcrumb sauce with olive tapenade, or carpaccio of tuna with marinated anchovies and samphire. Mains feature the likes of confit of duck with honey glazed root vegetables and orange marmalade, or pan-fried sea bass fillet with braised fennel and mussels. After eating the hip weekend crowd usually moves on from here to take in a local club.
