One30 Bar is a great place. The food is lush, the atmosphere, relaxed and the great thing is that you get whatever you want in this place - a couple of drinks, coffee, brunch or a full dinner. The tapas are lovely and eggs Benedict, delicious. The ‘midweek before 7.30pm deal’ of tapas variadas priced at £11.50 for two people is excellent value.

Having not visited Bristol before, my brothers and I decided to go to One30 on the Cheltenham Road. To start with, we shared a tapas of shrimps cooked in garlic butter that were absolutely delicious, and for main we had the roast beef. With the knowledge that a roast is never as good as your mum's or your own, we decided to try it. For £7.50 you don't tend to have any expectations, but it was a roast that I'll remember for a good few years. The beef was incredibly tender, the gravy rich, the roast potatoes as though they had been made to order, and the celeriac mash on the side was heaven. Everything had an amazing amount of effort put into it, and the vegetables were clearly organic and cooked perfectly. They even made their own horseradish, which was wonderful. For afters we had a cheese plate and it really was fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this place.
