Opus One Description
The name Opus One could denote several things, such as the first masterpiece of an artist or even a Napa Valley wine. New County Hotel, a smart boutique hotel in Perth, may have drawn inspiration from the meaning by choosing to create a namesake restaurant and featuring the world famous wine on their signature list.
A warm salad of marinated pigeon breast with smoked venison rasher or pan-fried king scallops set in a vanilla risotto with a coral dressing could provide a start, followed by the sautéed loin of lamb rolled in herbs with a salad niçoise garnish. Desserts feature the ever popular sticky toffee pudding and dark chocolate crème brûlée.
Under the experienced hands of Head Chef Ryan Young who has worked in two and three Rosette awarded establishments, the Opus One team invite you to experience a magnum 'opus' of their own .

I stayed in the hotel attached to this restaurant in July and found the menu to be very seasonal with some great choices. I only wish I had been staying a few days as I struggled to make up my mind what to have. The food is out of this world in terms of flavour and presentation and the service was also excellent. I can't wait to go back.

I have eaten here 3 times with friends since it opened and it has been of a consistent high quality. The food is beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and the menu offers the best in seasonal Scottish cuisine. The service is attentive and the atmosphere amiable. I would heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys a high standard of food.
