Origin Bar and Dining Room

Origin offers an interesting menu, combining old with new, fast with more leisurely, traditional with daring.

Chef Adam Byatt will work wonders for those who want a fast, business-like bar snack, and in a more measured way for those with the time to appreciate and savour his skills at their leisure. This is more than matched by a décor that takes in a dark wood floor, leather studded walls and impeccable napery. The Gallery is host to a collection of international art with names like Jane and Louise Wilson, and David Hockney. Chic good taste is on hand wherever you look.

A bar menu includes baby squid with oxtail, and foie gras parfait with pain d'epice. The two or three course pre-theatre menu represents outstanding value for dishes of such elegance, proving yet again that you get what you pay for.

The restaurant menu includes quail with hazelnut, crab with tarragon, foie gras with spiced plums, and a salad of native lobster with citrus vinaigrette, avocado and fine beans amongst the starters. All main courses can be taken as starters and pigeon with quince, pork and cockles, partridge with parsnips are all regular favourites.

Origin has a role to play in bringing elegance and a quality of calm confidence to all that it does.
