Origins at The White Lion
57 High Street, Great Missenden, HP16 0AL
A recent addition to the long-established White Lion Pub, Origins is an elegant and beautiful cocktail bar also serving a light international tapas menu in a sophisticated and contemporary environment. With the name derived from Darwin's book, 'On the Origin of Species', published 150 years ago, the restaurant is located on High Street in Great Missenden, a short walk from the train station. The interiors are classy and elegant, with well-appointed furniture, a spacious dining area and an eclectic bar. The pan-European tapas menu prepared under the direction of head chef Gennato Grella is scrumptious and varied. It consists of boquerones, marinated anchovies in oil, garlic and vinegar; and prawns, smoked salmon and dill pâté sushi rolls with cheese and black pepper puff grissini.A recent addition to the long-established White Lion Pub, Origins is an elegant and beautiful cocktail bar also serving a light international tapas menu in a sophisticated and contemporary environment. REVIEWS OF Origins at The White Lion
Tamara (22 September 2010)
I met several of my girlfriends for lunch and discovered a little gem in Origins! The food is tapas style, but very international in flavour, and a wine list to match! We had a great time, the staff were very attentive, helpful with our selections and will definitely be returning with my friends and maybe his lordship!
