Pacific Restaurant

58-60 George Street, Manchester, M1 4HF

We are looking here into the future and the present signs in this two year old project in the heart of Chinatown are that it's working, it's appreciated and the competition is flexing its muscles. On the first floor is the Chinese restaurant with an extensive range of dim sum to set the right mood. The list of chef's specials is daunting enough, but in addition you can, if you wish, also select your own method of cooking, sauces and accompanying dishes. However, should you be in Thai mode, continue up the next flight of stairs and on the second floor you will find another extensive menu, the same game plan and, if rumour is not a lying jade, a marginally larger crowd. Wine is taken seriously at both levels and house wines are all within £9.

REVIEWS OF Pacific Restaurant

John (9 March 2006)

Quite simply the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester, bar none.

John (2 February 2004)

A restaurant that tries to be all things to all men and misses the mark by a mile. Over-rated and pricey.
