Painted Heron, The Description
Unlike most Indian restaurants The Painted Heron proudly boasts a daily changing menu, so don't expect your average korma and madras choices to make an appearance. Instead you'll find a small but perfectly formed menu offering more unusual dishes inspired by both northern and southern Indian styles of cooking, such as venison koftas served with a wonderfully spiced Kashmiri sauce.
In 2004 The Painted Heron won Indian Restaurant of the Year in the ITV London Restaurant Awards (formerly the Carltons).

This place is outstanding. We’ve eaten at many of the finer Indians in London and this rates right up there. The sea bass was fantastic, the wine list was vast and the service, discreet. It was a great evening.

The restaurant serves some awesome food! The food is outstanding and well presented with very attentive and helpful staff. The food is excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
